The Cholestech LDX System is currently
the only CLIA Waived lipid system that can perform a full Lipid
Profile,
including HDL, from a whole blood finger stick sample. The ALT/AST liver
function test is now CLIA waived and available for the LDX System. This system
provides accurate and fast results that are available in less than 5 minutes
eliminating the need for the patient to return for a second consultation visit,
saving time and money. This easy-to-use system delivers lab quality accuracy
that you can count on. Effortless HDL testing--no pretreatment or
centrifugation--makes it easy to comply with the NCEP ATP II
guidelines and improves identification and management of high risk patients for
cardiovascular disease. All menu test options qualify for third party
reimbursement and are cost effective in managed care environments. The LDX is
also very light weight and portable, making it perfect for a mobile screening
